   Recently  A.R. Rahman was at a Felicitation ceremony in Delhi. The function was jointly organized by a leading Tamil daily and the Delhi Tamil Sangam for the Padma awardees from Tamilnadu. Double Oscar winner A.R. Rahman, said he would compose 'Jai Ho' in Tamil next year.

The music maestro added that the idea of composing the song in Tamil struck him when he heard children sing the song in Hindi during the function. A R Rahman has said that he will compose ‘Jai Ho’ in Tamil after he completes his world tour, mostly by early next year. 
  
Apart from Rahman, Nobel Prize winner Venkatraman Ramakrishnan, Apollo Hospitals Chairman Dr Prathap C Reddy, former CBI director D R Karthikeyan and Siddha expert J R Krishnamurthy were also felicitated.
